On Tuesday evening, May 25th, the People's Emergency Center (PEC), HUB Coalition and Franklin's Paine hosted a community meeting to discuss redevelopment plans for a public park located at 37th and Mount Vernon Streets. The community has identified a need for safe, designated skate space to accommodate a growing interest in skateboarding among local youth. Franklin's Paine presented a mixed-use design concept for the space that safely integrates skate space in with other playground amenities.

Thanks so much to everyone who joined us at North Bowl last Saturday, and for supporting Franklin's Paine!  AJ Kohn, JJ O'Donnell, and Tyrone Williams killed it during a freestyle skate demo, and we were able to showcase our recently completed promo video done by Kevin McDonald (to be uploaded to our website shortly)!  Thanks again to the many artists and business owners who contributed items and pieces of art to the silent auction and raffle, and to North Bowl, vitaminwater and PBR for sponsoring the event.

Franklin’s Paine Skatepark Fund will hold a fundraising event on Saturday, March 27th from 5-8pm at North Bowl Lounge n Lanes, located at 909 N. Second Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.

$25 at the door includes bowling, tater tot bar, food and drink specials, silent auction, raffle, photo booth, skate demos and more! 21+

The purpose of the event is to raise funds and awareness for FPSF's current and proposed youth educational programming and skatepark development projects.
