Paine's Park Breaks Ground!

On Friday, October 12th, 2012 at 11AM, Franklin's Paine Skatepark Fund broke ground on our marquee project, Paine's Park!  We were joined by speakers Deputy Mayor for Environmental and Community Resources, Michael DiBerardinis; Senator Larry Farnese; State Rep. Babette Josephs and Anthony Bracali, Principal of Friday Architects / Planners.  We were also joined by over 150 friends and supporters from the skate community and Philadelphia at-large and were overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm!

We will be completing two phases of construction over the next 7 months, culminating work and opening the park to the public in May 2013.  Stay tuned for updates on our construction process!
