Thanks for attending the Pops Playground "SkateSpace" grand opening

Thanks to all who joined us for our the Grand Opening of "SkateSpace" at Pops Playground. For the few of you that weren't there, the event featured a final brick-laying ceremony and featured a variety of noteworthy guests including Tom Potts (Friends of POPs Playground), Susan Slawson (Recreation Commissioner), Mike DeBerardinis (Commissioner of Parks and Recreation), Laura Semmelroth (NKCDC), countless amped-up community members and a ton of talented skaters.

A special thanks goes out to Jesse Clayton, Master park designer and builder, who committed the last year of his life to getting this project off the ground and ultimately creating a world-class skatespot.  Additional thanks to Steve Miller of Exit Philadelphia Skateboard Shop for his role in not just the project, but in making the event awesome.  And to the kids, you don't have to keep asking Steve where to skate --now you have a spot!
