Grays Ferry Crescent Skatepark

Grays Ferry Crescent Trail Philadelphia, PA 19146

Franklin's Paine Skatepark Fund, in partnership with the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Department, Schuylkill River Development Corporation, Fifth Pocket and the Grays Ferry Community Council, is developing a new skatable public space along the Grays Ferry Crescent and greenway.  Not only will this project feature a cutting edge skatepark design that includes passive seating and landscaping, but plans for the development of the project also include the resuse of construction debris from the recent Grays Ferry Crescent greenway construction project and salvaged cobblestone from the remains of the century-old industrial buildings that were once situated there.

With connectivity to Schuylkill Banks, Grays Ferry and University City, and striking views of the river, this site is truly unique.  This project is supported by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and the Olitsky Family Foundation.  We are aiming for a 2013 grounbreaking with construction expected to last about 3-4 weeks.
